facts i know about maui is 

(1.) maui liked to dream of going  fishing with his older brothers.

(2.) maui once  caught a fish with a jaw bone 

(3.) maui is a maori person

MY SUMMER LEARNING JOURNEY

here is a example to what it is like to do summer learning journey and all the cool activities :) 

what i found hard was when we had to do the video because there is so much bloopers

what i found easy  

kariotahi beach day

this is about kariotahi beach. 

On thursday we went to kariotahi beach and it was fun doing all the activities but it really stunk because there was a stingray and that was hard to try and just think that it wasn't there.

 but anyway i really loved it at the beach because riley was my buddy and she was being fear and was making sure that i have had a turn.

what i found hard was that when you were to far and there was a BIG WAVE COMING that was hard and difficult.

last thing was what i found easy what i found easy was when we was having a turn on the surf boads that was the best and it was fun. 

IALT:write about challanges

the first step that we took was when i was  planning   about things then i came up with the idea of not seeing my mum.

and out of that i learned that its ok to tell people how you feel

what was hard was that i really needed help but couldn't because i didn't what to tell people about what is going on o my life.

IALT:wirte about compare and contrust

first we did a compare & contrast sheet.  second we planned  about how we feel and about what was challenging.then last we had to write how we felt into sentences.

what was  hard for me is that when i had to write  about my my life was hard because there is not really many things that  i haven't seen or been to yet.

IALT: Write about my family.

1st  we started by planing.

2nd  we wrote what was in my plan into sentences. 

3rd  we started writing  sentences into paragraphs. 

i learnt that if you start from a paragraph then your life will be much easy. :)

I think what was hard for me was that wen I had to write plans because i didn't really have much ideas then sally gave me some ideas so then i came up with so much ideas I was about to explode.  

IALT: be more better in class !!!!!!!!!

This week we have been learning about RULES and   we made some photos of use being nice to each other and we done it when we where having M.T. and it was playtime. at first i thought  it was a little bit  hard but it wasn't.

IAL how to be more Brainy?

this week we have been learning how to do hundreds ten and ones. it was hard at first but we did it but when our teacher helped us understand we knew how to do it.

we are learning to use alliteration,rhyme,repetition

WALT: use alliteration,rhyme,repetition

• first we made posters.
• second we made screencastify  which  you can watch down below.

I learned that alliteration starts with same word and sounds the same.

I also learned that repetition is the chorus so it repeats about 4/5 times.\
and the last thing that we learned about is rhyme. rhyme is like when you say something that is similar.


At first I  found it a bit hard and then sally  told us more about it  and that  help A LOT and  then it got easier and easier and easier.

At first it was easy but on the second paragraph  I  got  stuck but then it got easier.

At the start of the year we made posters not just any posters posters that help you calm down. whats some ways that you can calm your self down. here are some ways to calm your self down from anger 1. force your self to leave the situation 2. count to 50,100 if you feel like  you are going to say or do something harmful.

Matariki is a group of stars that we celebrate for maori new year.we made a kite about our culture and what suits me. When making kites for matariki. in the olden days people use to use kites  to  look for the stars. In all the stars matariki is the special one because she is the  oldest and she was the first star to be born and was the first in the sky. Its best because  you can still see it when you are far away from it and you can also see it  anywhere.  on may the seven stars disappear and on june they reappear .

Did you know that the bottom one is the groups and the top on is the one that we are looking for ?To help you find the anawer its best to use money, play money/real money.

we read the book timber and then we planed it and then we made and argument here about the book timber.

I learned that cutting trees is a bad  idea because if you cu the trees we will die. and we will have know oxygen.  it was hard because I never went to the teacher for help so now I know when you need help  there

 is your friends.

IALT: DO TO MANY QUESTIONS

WALT:ask  questions to help you understand your reading 

we where doing writing and asking our teacher questions because we learnt that asking questions is better then skipping  the word.

this is my 10 questions some where easy some where hard bu I so I ask my friends and teacher and with that was much better.

IALT: MAY THE FOR'S BE WITH YOU

WALT: write about forces .
we made paper planes and we watched some videos
and we did some writing and we did some talking

I learned  that making paper planes was easy because all you need to do is fold paper and then you test it to see if it was good and  to see if it was a push or a pull. 

next I learned that watching videos helps me be a good writer and  a good author and would make my teacher would think man I did a good job.

IALT: USE PLACE VALUE

WALT=use subtraction to work out the answer and also one's ten's hundred's
and thousands. my place value in my place value we did one's tens and hundreds
but there is other ways to do a slideshow with subtraction you can  and
you can SMRF it & that  means stop make a copy rename file it so that is the for things .
